I look at you, and I develop a lump in my throat.
I feel butterfly in my stomach and the floor falls away.
I am in love with an angel and you return my love.

I kiss my pillow thinking of you, my love.
I sleep with you, as my only thought.
I dream only of you, for without you my dreams are nightmares.

My heart breaks and burns to dust at your departure.
My heart resurrects from the ashes like a phoenix at your return.
Your slightest word can crush me or build me up.

I would pray that we were meant to be,
I know my heart could love no other.
I pray our hearts be bound as one with unbreakable cords of love.
I pray to walk down life’s path with you by my side or in my arms.
